Daniel Adair
Driving the Rhythm of Nickelback
Daniel started playing drums at the age of 13, when he pulled his father’s 1967 Ludwig kit out of storage and started playing along with his favorite albums. Self-taught at first and heavily influenced by progressive rock and fusion, he began to study with some great teachers and further refined his percussion skills. He plugged himself into the local music scene in Vancouver BC, playing with numerous bands and being called on for session work. Daniel’s big break came in 2002 when he became the drummer for the American multi-platinum band 3 Doors Down. And then another break in 2005 when Nickelback offered him a membership in the band. Daniel continues to record and tour with Nickelback, along with recording drums for a variety of artists in his home studio named ‘Vault 101’.
